Guess what made my week truly extraordinary? I had the incredible opportunity to hear the captivating stories of the Magnificent 4: Vera Tamari, Sliman Mansour, Nabil Anani, and Tayseer Barakat. Thanks to the thought-provoking March Meeting programming, we delved into the artists’ remarkable journeys through numerous intifadas, witnessing their unwavering commitment to making their voices heard through art in Palestine and ensuring that resonance echoes across international borders. Despite facing various challenges, they consistently returned to their studios, creating a solid foundation for the Palestinian art scene and paving the way for future generations.

I’m incredibly grateful to have had the chance to listen, learn, and engage in conversations with them. I even shared with Tayseer that he’s a cherished part of my personal art collection 🤍
